Material Requirements Planning (MRP) takes into account existing warehouse inventory, open purchase orders, safety stock, minimum order quantities, sales orders, due dates and additional constraints. The Purchase Planning program creates an issues plan on the basis of the factors listed above, and automatically opens purchase requisitions for the items to be issued.
